Viddal Riley is the new British cruiserweight champion after impressively outboxing Cheavon Clarke at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham’s Viddal Riley claimed the British cruiserweight title and north London bragging rights with this clearcut points win over Arsenal fan Chev Clarke. The pair had spent fight week wearing the colours of the Seven Sisters rivals they support, with Clarke even referring to the impressive Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as ‘a toilet’.

Viddal Riley's memory extends all the way back to the age of three when he first picked up a pair of boxing gloves. Twenty-four years later, the Tottenham man (12-0, 7 KOs) is set to fight for the British cruiserweight title at Spurs' Stadium, a few miles down the road from where he was born.

The two British fighters will go head-to-head 35 years after their legendary boxing fathers Chris Eubank Snr and Nigel Benn slugged it out during two ferocious battles for the World Middleweight and Super-Middleweight titles in the 1990s, with the family rivalry considered one of the most iconic in boxing.

Viddal Riley believes that he will have to beat Cheavon Clarke into submission if he is to become the British cruiserweight champion.

A battle of unbeaten cruiserweights produced the biggest upset of the night as Leonardo Mosquea defeated Cheavon Clarke via split decision Saturday in Monte Carlo. Also on the undercard, Beatriz Ferreira defended her IBF lightweight title with a ten-round shutout win over Licia Boudersa.
