Hatton is a passionate supporter of the Manchester City Football Club. His entrance music was the Manchester City club song "Blue Moon", as performed by the band "Supra.

He briefly ventured into professional wrestling, making a guest appearance on WWE's Monday Night Raw in 2009, where he won his only wrestling match.

After retiring from boxing, Hatton has worked as a boxing promoter and trainer.
