Terms have finally been agreed for Ben Whittaker’s grudge return with Liam Cameron to take place over 10 rounds.

The pair will meet late on Easter Sunday in a rematch of their controversial technical draw from Riyadh last year, when they tumbled over the top rope together putting an end to the encounter.

However it has been a fiery build up to their second clash, which tops the bill of a Boxxer show live on Sky at the BP Pulse Arena this weekend.

And underdog Cameron revealed that the two fighters had signed for different length fights, as Whittaker had agreed to a 10-rounder while his opponent from Sheffield was gearing up for 12 threes.

Ben Shalom, the show’s promoter, admitted it was a simple admin error that would be sorted swiftly but, as revealed by The Ring, when fight week started on Monday, there was still no resolution to the Roundgate saga.

However, The Ring has learned that pen was put to paper on a fresh deal late on Wednesday evening, with Cameron agreeing to box over 10 rounds. The 34-year-old is already in line to earn three times more than his previous biggest purse and it understood that he received additional significant compensation when agreeing to reduce the length of the fight.

The funds were placed in escrow by the relevant parties on Wednesday and ratified by the British Boxing Board of Control on Thursday meaning the fight can now finally go ahead without any problems.

Queensberry's head of boxing Lee Eaton wrote in a statement on social media: "Update - Team @liamcameron21 has come to an agreement with @boxxer/@benjshalom to make the fight with Ben whittaker a 10 round fight, we are very happy with the new terms agreed & look forward to the fight on Sunday."

The two men are set to perform their public workouts on Thursday before the final press conference on Friday.
