Kevin Lele Sadjo came in two pounds under the contracted weight Friday for the biggest fight of his career.
France’s Sadjo stepped on the California State Athletic Commission’s scale at 166 pounds for his 12-round, 168-pound fight against Diego Pacheco on Saturday night in Stockton, California. Pacheco officially weighed 167.2 pounds.
DraftKings lists Los Angeles’ Pacheco as a 5-1 favorite to beat the Cameroonian contender, even though Sadjo has won 88 percent of his pro bouts by knockout. Pacheco (24-0, 18 KOs) is ranked fifth among The Ring’s super middleweight contenders, whereas Sadjo (26-0, 23 KOs) isn’t in the top 10.
Their super middleweight match is the main event of a card DAZN will stream worldwide from Adventist Health Arena. The weights for the main portion of the Pacheco-Sadjo undercard are listed below.
