ORLANDO – Two interim titles are on the line later Saturday night at the Caribe Royale.
In the main event, undefeated flyweights
Yankiel Rivera and
Angelino Cordova will clash for the interim WBA title. In the co-feature, Yoenis Tellez will make the first defense of his interim WBA junior middleweight title against Abass Baraou.
Before they clash, seven fights will take place, including a pair of women’s title bouts.

Ariel Perez defeats Chris Avila by unanimous decision
Ariel Perez’s physical strength and power punching led the way in a unanimous decision victory over Chris Avila in a six-round light heavyweight bout.
The Tampa native won 58-56 on the cards of judges James Ged O’Connor and Dave De Jonge. Judge Nelson Vazquez had it 59-55.
Perez (8-0, 4 KOs) got off to a strong start, connecting with a pair of big straight right hands along the ropes that had a visible effect on Avila. Avila did some good work, but the difference in strength and power was evident throughout the fight whenever he and Perez exchanged or landed.
Perez outlanded Avila 110 to 75 in total punches, according to CompuBox, en route to keeping his undefeated record intact.
Avila (6-2, 0 KOs) was on a six-fight win streak heading into the bout against Perez.
Jasmine Artiga takes out Linn Sandstrom in three rounds
Jasmine Artiga’s first title defense was about as perfect as she could have hoped. Her pressure and volume proved to be too much as she overwhelmed and stopped Linn Sandstrom in the third round to retain her WBA super flyweight belt.
Artiga (14-0-1, 7 KOs), of nearby Tampa, set the tone from the opening bell and rocked Sandstrom with a straight left hand along the ropes. She followed with a barrage of punches while Sandstrom (10-4-3, 2 KOs) shelled up until referee Massimo Montanini stopped the fight.
Jamaine Ortiz KOs late replacement Ambiorix Bautista in three
Jamaine Ortiz (20-2-1, 10 KOs) dominated the first two rounds with his speed and combination punching. In the third round, Ambiorix
Bautista went to throw a left hook to the body and appeared to hurt his left arm, causing him to take a knee.
After referee Alicia Young resumed the action, Ortiz followed with a barrage of punches in the corner before dropping Bautista (19-3, 11 KOs) with a left hook to the body, and Young promptly stopped the fight.
Bautista was a late replacement opponent for Steve Claggett (39-8-2, 27 KOs), who withdrew because of an injury.
Nat Dove stops Randee Lynn Morales in fifth round
Nat Dove delivered a dominating performance en route to a fifth-round stoppage victory.
Dove (6-0-1, 2 KOs) connected with her straight right hand consistently, and overwhelmed Randee Lynn Morales (5-6, 3 KOs) with power shots to the head and body throughout the fifth round before referee Luis Pabon stopped the fight.
Jocelyn Camarillo defeats Agustina Vazquez by unanimous decision
Jocelyn Camarillo (5-0, 0 KOs) maintained her perfect record with a unanimous decision victory over Agustina Vazquez (4-5-2, 0 KOs) in a four-round junior flyweight bout.
