David Benavidez has been fortunate enough to make a lot of money in his career.

Those millions allow him to live a certain lifestyle, but it isn’t what drives him. Fame and fortune are great — so is being on the cover of The Ring's October issue — but when his fighting days are over he wants his legacy inside the ring to define him.

“I guarantee by the time I’m finished, I’m going to be one of the greatest fighters of all time,” Benavidez, 28, said on his YouTube channel, Benavidez Family.

Benavidez, a two-division champ and WBC light heavyweight titlist, will get closer to his goal if he takes care of business on November 22 at ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on DAZN.

There, Anthony Yarde will do his best to end his reign and begin his own. A two-time 175-pound title challenger, he's a gigantic underdog but lately he’s been fighting like he has something to prove.

Following his stoppage loss to Artur Beterbiev two years ago, he’s picked up four consecutive victories, two of which came via KO.

Benavidez (30-0, 24 KOs) has seen some of Yarde’s handiwork. Beating him won’t bring Benavidez worldwide recognition, but he’s hoping to make an example out of him. Yarde (27-3, 24 KOs) reminds him of another hotshot fighter he knocked off in David Morrell.

They fought February 1 in Las Vegas, with Benavidez cruising to a unanimous decision.

With a few months remaining until his return, Yarde is talking a big game. Threats of him hurting the pound-for-pound star ring hollow to Benavidez, though. Every opponent who stands in his way, including Yarde, will take a beating.

“I’m not gonna stop until I accomplish what I set out to accomplish,” Benavidez said. “I wanna be number one.”
