Most, if not all, believe
Jake Paul is biting off more than he can chew.
It’s one thing to fight a former NBA player, a few older UFC stars and even a couple of boxing journeymen, but
Anthony Joshua? Paul should slow down. But, despite winning multiple world titles and an Olympic gold medal,
Tyson Fury believes Paul is on a much higher level.
In fact, with rumors perpetually circulating that there’s a chance that fight happens, Fury shook his head and warned Joshua of the possible outcome.
“I think Jake Paul knocks him out,” Fury told
The Ring. “I just think Jake Paul would knock AJ out.”
Paul, 28, has been heavily criticized following his last two wins.
Mike Tyson, who was seemingly minding his own business, decided to end his near 20-year retirement on Nov. 15 to take on Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) in Arlington, Texas. But considering that he was roughly 35 years past his prime, Tyson lost a noncompetitive fight (14-ounce gloves and eight two-minute rounds)
On June 28 at Honda Center in Anaheim, California,
Paul dragged Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. to the ring and ultimately beat him via wide unanimous decision. Those wins, according to Fury, were all he had to see. His form, coupled with Joshua’s recent downfall, has the former champ feeling like a fortune-teller.
Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) is looking to rebound from his last outing Sept. 21. He was ready to become a three-time heavyweight champion and prepared his victory speech along the way.
Daniel Dubois, however, had other plans, blasting through Joshua and stopping him in the fifth round at Wembley Stadium.
That loss wasn’t some anomaly. The way Fury sees it, Joshua and Paul are simply heading in totally opposite directions.
“I think AJ is a spent force and I think Jake Paul is on the rise.”
