His Excellency Turki Alalshikh announced that Riyadh Season’s Canelo Alvarez-Terence Crawford Sept. 13 superfight will be promoted by Dana White, TKO and Sela.
The first news conference for
The Ring super middleweight championship fight takes place later this month in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Alalshikh wrote Sunday on X that "we have a deal with TKO to promote … the biggest fight in boxing."
”My brother Dana will promote this fight,” Alalshikh wrote. “It is the fight of Riyadh Season … and tomorrow I think I will tell the details and the platform and the place for this fight, me and Dana.”
Earlier Sunday at the UFC 316 post-fight news conference in Newark, New Jersey, White said he would promote the highly anticipated Alvarez-Crawford boxing match alongside Alalshikh.
The pair of future Hall of Fame boxers faced off for the first time in Riyadh last month following Canelo’s decision win over William Scull.
Legendary photographer and director David LaChapelle will design and photograph the official Canelo-Crawford fight poster, per Alalshikh.
Crawford,
The Ring’s No. 3 pound-for-pound boxer, is The Ring’s No. 1 boxer at 154 pounds. He’ll move up two weight classes to meet boxing’s top star, Canelo, at 168.
