The Ring's Latest Ratings: Changes Aplenty Across Eight Divisions, While A New Champion Is Crowned
July quickly proved a busy month for boxing fans to savour and several changes have been made over the past fortnight across The Ring ratings board, as well as another tweak to the pound-for-pound rankings.

Daniel Dubois suffered a damaging case of deja vu as Oleksandr Usyk reigned supreme with a vicious fifth-round knockout win in their rematch to reclaim undisputed heavyweight status, with the now-former IBF titleholder dropping down the rankings as another rebuild beckons.

Six hours later, returning Hall of Famer Manny Pacquiao turned back the clock and exceeded expectations during a 12-round majority decision draw against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios.

WBC junior middleweight beltholder Sebastian Fundora ensured there were no doubts over his improvements after a definitive finish in his Tim Tszyu rematch, while Jesse 'Bam' Rodriguez added WBO gold to his ever-growing collection of world titles with a 10th-round stoppage against unbeaten champion Phumelela Cafu.

Last weekend featured less marquee action but headline attractions still took place stateside and on British shores.

Xander Zayas made history as the sport's youngest world titlist after claiming the vacant WBO junior middleweight championship having eased to a 12-round decision win over Jorge Garcia Perez.

Elsewhere in New York, Bruce Carrington comfortably outpointed Mateus Heita to seal the WBC's interim featherweight title while rising welterweight contender Rohan Polanco was a commanding 10-round winner over Quinton Randall on the undercard.

Ryan Garner still has work to do before cracking the top-10 at 130-pounds after a career-best 12th-round stoppage win over Reece Bellotti in Bournemouth, while subtle alterations appear in the bottom-half of the junior bantamweight class.

Elijah Pierce's featherweight move was made official as the new WBO International titleholder survived a back-and-forth battle with Michael Dasmarinas en route to a dramatic ninth-round finish.
