The Ring's Latest Ratings: New Entry On P4P List, Changes In Five Divisions
Last weekend was an enthralling one for boxing fans and numerous changes have been made across The Ring ratings board as a result, including a tweak to the pound-for-pound list.

The Ring III event stole the show Saturday with Hamzah Sheeraz's fifth-round destruction of Edgar Berlanga in the main event.

In the co-main, Shakur Stevenson cemented his position as one of the best in the world with a convincing points victory over pressure fighter William Zepeda.

David Morrell controversially outpointed Imam Khataev in a close 10-round light-heavyweight contest. And Subriel Matias became WBC junior welterweight champion with a majority decision over Alberto Puello.

Scroll down to to read the alterations made to the five divisions and P4P list:

Ratings panel comments

P4P LIST

Anson Wainwright: I'd like to throw this one out ... Shakur Stevenson to enter at No. 10. I'm good with David Benavidez there but I feel Shakur was impressive last night and wouldn't mind seeing the switch. Benavidez will have his right to reply in November.

Doug Fischer: I'm ambivalent on who deserves that last spot in the P4P rankings. David's on a better run than Shakur, but Stevenson fought and boxed his ass off vs. Zepeda and is a three-division titleholder.

Wasim Mather: I think Benavidez is on a stronger run overall and has shown more consistency in his performances compared to Shakur. That said, Shakur’s showing last night reminded us that he rises to the level of his opposition and performs when it counts. I’m fine with him entering the P4P rankings, and we can reassess once we see how Benavidez looks against Yarde.

Daisuke Sugiura: I also agree with putting Shakur in the top 10 of the PFP. He just proved his worth again in his fight against Zepeda. In any case, in this day and age when top fighters rarely fight, I personally want to value the value of their most recent fights. As Anson wrote, we can reconsider Benavidez's ranking after his fight against Anthony Yarde.

SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT

Adam Abramowitz: I think Sheeraz coming in at 7 is a little too high. He’d be leapfrogging a few guys with better wins or depth in the division. I think 10 would be more than appropriate especially since Berlanga was unranked and this was Sheeraz’s debut there.

Tom Gray: I'm with Anson on No. 7 for Sheeraz. Scull is lucky to be rated at all, Shishkin lost to Scull (albeit controversially), Bektemir has done nothing worth talking about, and Surace has had his glass slipper moment. I expected Hamzah to lay waste to Berlanga, but he did it faster and more impressively than I could have imagined. He deserves to hit the ground running at 168.
