The Ring will launch its new series, “The Underdog,” during Canelo Alvarez-Terence Crawford fight week next month in Las Vegas.
DAZN will stream what will become a monthly series in January. “The Underdog” will regularly feature rising contenders, prospects and occasionally underexposed champions in designed “50-50 fights.”
The inaugural main event of the series will match WBO flyweight champion
Anthony Olascuaga (9-1, 6 KOs) against No. 1 contender
Juan Carlos Camacho (19-1, 8 KOs) on September 11 at Fontainebleau Las Vegas’ BleauLive Theater. Tickets to this event, which start at $50, went on sale Wednesday and can be bought via Ticketmaster.com by clicking

The undercard will feature a bout between junior lightweight prospects
Justin Viloria (9-0, 7 KOs) and
Joshafat Ortiz (13-1, 6 KOs). Junior middleweights Jalil Hackett (9-1, 7 KOs) and Elijah Vines (8-0, 7 KOs), junior featherweights Emiliano Alvarado (8-0, 5 KOs) and Juan Garcia (7-0, 2 KOs) and cruiserweights Jamar Talley (3-0, 3 KOs) and Isaiah Thompson (11-4-2, 10 KOs) will square off on the undercard as well.
“The Underdog is all about giving fans the fights they want — competitive, unpredictable matchups that highlight the next generation of stars,” Rick Reeno, CEO of The Ring, said. “September’s teaser event is a preview of what’s to come and, starting in January next year, fans can expect must-watch action every month.”
In addition to staging at least one show per month in 2026, creative innovations for “The Underdog,” aimed at reimagining the sport and enhancing the fan experience, will be unveiled soon.
