Shakur Stevenson Disagrees With Crawford, Views Spence As A Future Hall Of Famer
Terence Crawford and Shakur Stevenson agree on practically everything. Their pound-for-pound lists are similar, their predictions on fights often mirror each other, and their views on the sport as a whole are just about the same. With that said, they don’t see eye-to-eye on this one.

Errol Spence Jr. is one of the most popular fighters around. So, when questions surrounding his Hall of Fame chances were met with a screwed-up face by Crawford, they began trashing him in the comment section. Crawford though, wasn’t trying to be condescending, he believes he was merely being candid.

Simply put, Spence’s trophy case isn’t gonna cut it when the Hall comes checking for his credentials. Stevenson though, doesn’t know what Crawford is talking about.

“I disagree,” said Stevenson on The Best Women’s Boxing Show Period. “I disagree. I feel as though Errol had a great career. If it wasn’t for Bud, he would’ve been undisputed. He went out and got every belt one by one by one.”

Unless you’ve been completely oblivious to the sport, we all remember the beating Crawford handed his longtime rival back in July of 2023. Since being put down, Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) hasn’t been spotted much. Fans have gotten their hopes up every now and then, but the flirting he’s done with a comeback hasn’t come close to happening.

Still, before Crawford ran through him, Spence was one of the best fighters in the world. Stevenson, like the rest of us, was in awe of the run he went on. Kell Brook and Yordenis Ugas were violently stopped when he got his hands on them. At the same time, his matchup against Shawn Porter was an all-time classic.

Those wins, along with having three of the four welterweight titles at one point, should be enough to hand him a gold jacket.

“I think he’s a Hall of Famer.”
