The Ring's Latest Ratings: Changes in two divisions, pound-for-pound top 10 debate
There are changes to just two divisions in this week's Ring ratings update, but there was some discussion over making potential changes to the pound-for-pound top 10.

Last weekend, "The Ring V: Night of the Samurai" took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and was headlined by Naoya Inoue's dominant decision win over Alan Picasso.

Junto Nakatani, who is slated to face Inoue next in an all-Japanese showdown for The Ring and undisputed 122-pound titles, overcame Sebastian Hernandez on points in a brutal, back-and-forth fight in the co-feature.

Over 8,500 miles away in Tokoname, Japan, Masamichi Yabuki retained his IBF flyweight title with a 12th-round knockout win over 47-fight veteran Felix Alvarado.

Scroll down to read the alterations.

Pound-for-pound discussion

After Nakatani's less-than-convincing win over Hernandez, the panel discussed the possibility of demoting him from the No. 6 position. Ultimately, the three-weight Japanese champion retained his spot.

Anson Wainwright: Junto Nakatani edged home against Sebastian Hernandez but it was very close. A 122-pound baptism of fire, if you will. I'd keep him here and see if Shakur Stevenson (or Teofimo Lopez) can impress to potentially move over him.

Adam Abramowitz: I propose to drop Nakatani one spot on the pound-for-pound list and move up Stevenson. Really similar careers to this point. But I know for sure that Shakur has won all his fights.

Abraham Gonzalez: I agree with Adam on the Nakatani demotion. To have the spot he has currently, he needed to have handled Hernandez. This is the reason I am not a fan of a future fight being discussed throughout a promotion for a fight prior to it. Think the Inoue-Nakatani fight has lost some of its steam.

Gareth A Davies: Nakatani was exposed. Hernandez is durable but average, in my opinion. Not a top 10 pound-for-pounder. Inoue beats [Nakatani] easily, in my opinion. But Nakatani was still smart. Clear winner 7-5.

Tom Gray: I completely disagree with dropping Nakatani a spot for winning a close fight. No dice!
