The stage is set for 360 Promotions’ first show of the new year.
Omar Trinidad and Mike Plania are set for their ten-round featherweight bout, which headlines a UFC Fight Pass show this Friday from Commerce Casino in Commerce, California. Trinidad (17-0-1, 13 KOs)—from nearby Boyle Heights—was 125.8 pounds, while the Philippines’ Plania (31-4, 18 KOs) arrived at a svelte 125 pounds.
The five-fight UFC Fight Pass portion of the show will begin at 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. local time.
Trinidad is The Ring’s No. 10 featherweight contender, an honor he earned with a strong 2024 campaign. The 28-year-old claimed three victories on the year, all of which took place at Commerce Casino where he is the venue’s top draw.
Knockouts over Jose Perez and Viktor Slavinskyi extended Trinidad’s four-fight wins inside the distance. It came to an end in his most recent outing, a dominant twelve-round, unanimous decision over Hector Sosa last Oct. 26 in Commerce.
Plania has won two straight since a knockout loss to Angelo Leo last Jan. 31 in Plant City, Florida. Leo (25-1, 10 KOs) went on to win the IBF featherweight title one fight later and commandeer the No. 1 slot in The Ring’s featherweight ratings.
Meanwhile, Plania rebounded with a pair of club-level wins in Miami, where he is promoted by Laura Ching’s M&R Boxing Promotions.
