O’Shaquie Foster and
Stephen Fulton have agreed to a deal for a WBC junior lightweight title fight, sources tell
The Ring. Fulton, the WBC champion at 126 pounds, will move up to 130 as he attempts to become a three-division champion. The bout is expected to land on the Aug. 16 Gervonta Davis-Lamont Roach PPV undercard in Las Vegas, per sources.
The fight pits a Top Rank fighter (Foster) against one aligned with PBC. Foster,
The Ring’s No. 1 boxer at 130, Foster, 31, regained his title in November when he outpointed Robson Conceicao in a rematch.
Houston’s Foster (23-3, 12 KOs) won the title from Rey Vargas and made two successful defenses before the loss to Conceicao.
Philadelphia’s Fulton is The Ring’s No. 4 featherweight. He’s the WBC champion at 126 pounds, a title Fulton (23-1, 8 KOs) won in February with a convincing decision win over Brandon Figueroa in a rematch.
The 30-year-old will look to become a three-division champion with a victory. His lone professional defeat came in 2023 when he was knocked out by Naoya Inoue in a title unification bout in Tokyo.
