Stephen Fulton has never been a pushover.
So, of course,
O’Shaquie Foster is treating him with the utmost respect. The two will grab a co-main event slot on October 25 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Foster (23-3, 12 KOs) doesn’t plan on losing his WBC 130-pound strap, but to hold onto it he’ll have to remain focused. He claims Fulton (23-1, 8 KOs) is the only opponent on his mind, he recently mentioned another big-name target.
“Tank,” Foster told YSM Sports Media when asked who he wants in the immediate future. “We got a little history there and we right here at 130, 135.”
Although he’s putting his chips on the table, the feeling isn’t mutual from Davis’ side.
He wrote as much on his X account, claiming that
once the check clears from his exhibition against Jake Paul on November 14 at Kaseya Center in Miami, he’ll leave the sport for good.
It’s unclear if Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs) will follow through with that plan, but if he doesn’t he’ll have a long list of names waiting to face him, including
Lamont Roach.
They fought to a controversial draw on March 1 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Initially, Davis agreed to an immediate rematch between the Washington D.C area fighters, but he ultimately left Roach (25-1-2, 10 KOs) out in the cold.
Whatever his future holds, Foster is hoping he’s a part of it.
“I been calling for him,” Foster said. “I think it’ll be a great match.”
