Nick Ball will defend his WBA featherweight title against
Brandon Figueroa on February 7, it was announced Thursday.
The fight will take place in Liverpool, England at the M&S Bank Arena.
Ball (23-0-1, 13 KOs) last fought on August 16 against Sam Goodman,
winning a competitive unanimous decision at ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His clash with Figueroa will be the fourth defence of the title he won against Raymford Ford in June 2024.
Figueroa (26-2-1, 19 KOs) hasn't been in action since his own
unanimous decision victory over Joet Gonzalez on the undercard of Manny Pacquiao-Mario Barrios in July.
The Texan is a former junior featherweight and featherweight champion. He lost his WBC featherweight title to Stephen Fulton in February. The pair also fought for unified honours at 122 pounds in November 2021, with Figueroa losing by majority decision.
Promoter Frank Warren said: "We’re delighted to be going back to Merseyside early next year for another signature Nick Ball World Title fight at the M&S Bank Arena, Liverpool.
"Nick always delivers entertaining, hard hitting fights and this one promises to be no different against two-weight World Champion, Brandon Figueroa."
