Both Natasha Jonas and Lauren Price made weight today in London ahead of their Royal Albert Hall clash - but as far as Joe Gallagher's concerned, the bout is no longer a world title fight.
Jonas (16-2-1, 9 KOs), fully dressed, came in at 146 pounds for Friday's WBC/IBF/WBA/Ring welterweight unification battle with Price (8-0, 2 KOs), who weighed in at 145 pounds.
Gallagher, Jonas' trainer, made a point before both women stepped on the scales that they weren't calibrated properly.
After both women weighed in, Gallagher ranted that the sticker on the scales read January 9, and that they hadn't been calibrated since they were placed on the stage.
Gallagher fumed on the Sky broadcast after: "They're not bothered about the scales. They were calibrated on January 9th. Once the scales have been moved, they're not calibrated anymore. They should be calibrated right here, right now today.
"Everyone that came in, I thought 'they're light, they're light'. And I'm protective of Natasha, and I hear Lauren is struggling with weight. Tasha was light with her clothes on, we've got this huge prestigious event and we can't get a set of proper calibrated scales.
"You've got to calibrate the scales. Imagine Pacquiao-Mayweather and there wasn't calibrated scales in America.
"I've got to be careful here or I'll get fined. No-one can produce a sticker with today's date. I want to see a certificate, they're not calibrated. Technically this isn't a world title fight because of those scales.
"I'm just abiding by the rules, I'm doing my job."
Price looked calm and accused Gallagher of stealing his fighter's limelight.
She said: "There's been drama all week, it's obviously Gallagher trying to make it about himself, it's Jonas vs Price.
"Definitely not [under my skin], I'm cool, calm, and collected.
"I felt fine, I make the weight every time, I'm a professional, I don't crash the weight ever. It makes for a great fight, I respect Tash, it's going to be a great fight, I can't wait to be a part of it."
Jonas may have stepped on the scales with her clothes on to make a point about the scales' inaccuracy. And she was fairly short with Sky's Andy Scott in her post-weigh-in interview.
Jonas said: "I was light, with my clothes on. Boxing is full of dramas.
"She looks ready, I'm ready, let's do it. I don't need to prove to anyone else why I'm the champion, or why I'm going to stay champion, I just am."
