BENGHAZI, Libya —
Mirco Cuello and Sergio Rios came in bang on the featherweight limit of 126 pounds at Thursday's weigh in.
They will contest the WBA interim title at Martyrs of Benina Stadium live on DAZN on Friday (2 p.m. ET/ 7 GMT).
For no particular reason, with WBA champion Nick Ball fighting Sam Goodman on Aug. 16, the sanctioning body
allowed Cuello (15-0, 12 KOs) and Rios (19-0, 7 KOs) to contest an interim title.
Light heavyweights Albert Ramirez and
Jerome Pampellone made weight for their WBA interim belt, which will serve as the co-feature.
Ramirez (21-0, 18 KOs) weighed in at 175, while Pampellone (19-2, 12 KOs) was a little lighter at 173.9.
