Keyshawn Davis: Teofimo Lopez Is Scared Of Me, I Can't Keep Chasing People
Teofimo Lopez acts like a fighter who's willing to face any and everyone. But to Keyshawn Davis, the most important word in that statement is acts.

For years now, Davis (13-0, 9 KOs) has done his best to push Lopez's buttons. From staring a hole through him when they meet face-to-face, confronting him at fights and calling him everything but a child of God, the 26-year-old has done it all.

Yet, Lopez won't take the bait. He's remained calm throughout it all and flat out ignores Davis, despite being on the same promotional platform with Top Rank.

At present, Lopez's Ring and WBO 140-pound titles don't carry the same mystique it once did after dethroning Josh Taylor in June 2023. With potential new challenges in mind, he's flirted with a welterweight move to face IBF/WBA and RING champion Jaron Ennis.

On one end, it looks ballsy. Ennis isn't the sort of fighter who gets called out, but Lopez has repeatedly done it. With that said, something isn't right. While it may look like Lopez (22-1, 13 KOs) is chasing greatness, Davis believes the only thing he's doing is running for safety.

"Teo is so [expletive] scared of me," Davis told FightHype.com. "He wanna move up to 147 because he knows I'm on his ass. I can't keep chasing people."

Davis might be tired of chasing certain fighters, but won't get tired of headlining shows and defending his WBO lightweight title.

This weekend, June 7, he'll look to make a successful first defence when taking on Edwin De Los Santos. His immediate focus will remain on the hard-hitting Dominican, but if and when that assignment is taken care of, he'll place a target on the back of every big name possible.

Lopez though, will no longer be on his radar. Not because he no longer wants a matchup between them, but seemingly out of sympathy.

"At this point, I don't wanna keep bullying him."
