Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano will make history once again as they prepare to clash for a THIRD time on July 11 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The fight will be streamed live on Netflix and will headline an all-women's card, which will be promoted by Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions.
"It's only fitting that during Women's History Month that we are able to announce this must-see trilogy between two of the greatest female athletes of all time, on an all-women's card," Paul told ESPN.
Taylor (24-1, 6 KOs) and Serrano (47-3-1, 31 KOs) first clashed on April 30, 2022 in front of a sold-out MSG and it was Irishwoman Taylor who came out on top with a split decision victory after a brutal 10 rounds of action.
The pair rematched on November 15, 2024 on the undercard of Paul's huge clash with Mike Tyson, which broke streaming records with close to 75 million average viewers globally.
Taylor won the rematch by unanimous decision, but plenty of observers thought Serrano did enough to secure a victory, with the Puerto Rican insistent in the aftermath that her opponent purposefully leaned in with her head throughout the fight.
MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian also told ESPN: "This all-women's card is not only a testament to how far the sport has come but also the beginning of an even greater push from MVP to elevate the next generation of female fighters."
Taylor tweeted: "Excited to be headlining at @TheGarden again on July 11th for the trilogy live on @netflix #TaylorSerrano."
The trilogy, like the first rematch, will be held at junior-welterweight, with Taylor's Ring/WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO undisputed titles on the line.
The fight will take place on a Friday night, just like Paul-Tyson did, and an undercard will be announced at a later date.
Serrano is a seven-weight world champion and currently holds The Ring/WBA/WBO titles at featherweight. Taylor, 38, has held undisputed titles at two weights, having won all of the belts at 135 pounds previously.
Taylor's biggest wins have come against Serrano, but also England's Chantelle Cameron, who she won her 140-pound titles against in a rematch, having lost their first fight in May 2023.
