Dillian Whyte, Joe Joyce To Headline Queensberry Promotions' First DAZN Show On Apr. 5
Frank Warren's new era with DAZN will kick off with a bang.

Queensberry Promotions have announced a three-fight schedule for the spring which gets underway with a headliner between Joe Joyce (16-3, 15 KOs) and Dillian Whyte (31-3, 28KOs) on April 5th.

The bout will take place at Manchester's Co-Op Live Arena, which hosted Derek Chisora-Otto Wallin this past weekend and will also take in Jack Catterall-Arnold Barboza Jr on Feb. 15th.

DAZN will stream the event, Queensberry and Warren's first dalliance with the streaming service, after the expiration of their longtime deal with TNT Sports in the UK.

In the co-feature on the all-heavyweight card, Lawrence Okolie (21-1, 16 KOs) makes a step up in his journey as a heavyweight as he faces former cruiserweight title challenger Richard Riakporhe (17-1, 13 KOs).

In the third fight of the night, and in another all-British clash, English champion David Adeleye (13-1, 12 KOs) takes on Jeamie 'TKV' Tshikeva (8-1, 5 KOs).

Making his debut further down on the card is Delicious Orie, who announced his professional intentions last week, signing with Frank Warren in the process.

The main event between Joyce and Whyte represents a do-or-die situation for both men, having failed in their quests to challenge or win world titles in recent years.

Joyce holds big wins over Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker, but came unstuck in two stoppage defeats and a points loss to Zhilei Zhang and Derek Chisora in 2023 and 2024 respectively.

In Queensberry's second show with DAZN, new signing Leigh Wood (28-3, 17 KOs) will fight Anthony Cacace (23-1, 8KOs) in his first fight at junior-lightweight on May 10 at Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena.

Completing the spring slate of fights for DAZN is former undisputed junior-welterweight champion Josh Taylor's return to action.

Also a new Queensberry signing, Taylor (19-2, 13 KOs) moves up to welterweight for the first time to challenge former British champion Ekow Essuman (21-1, 8 KOs) in Glasgow on an unspecified date in May.

Frank Warren said: “We’ve assembled a bumper lineup of cracking fights to celebrate the start of our relationship with DAZN.

“We are starting as we mean to go on and, as you might expect, the heavyweights will play a big, big part in 2025 and beyond. Then Nottingham is the place to be the following month for a real banger of a fight between Anto Cacace and Leigh Wood. It is the sort of domestic blockbuster we will be seeing plenty of across the partnership between Queensberry and DAZN.

"I am also so much looking forward to returning to Scotland with the nation’s biggest star and our latest signing, Josh Taylor, headlining and rebooting his career at welterweight, where I believe he can again do big things, but he will be up against it with Ekow Essuman in the opposite corner."
