Jeremiah Milton Suffers First Defeat To Stanley Wright In Dull Fight
After a strong start to his career, Jeremiah Milton took several steps back in 2024, failing to make a single appearance. Tonight, however, his 2025 kicked off in the worst way possible in Plant City, Florida.

For his first fight back in well over a year, Milton jumped right into the fire with fellow undefeated fighter, Stanley Wright.

The crowd in Plant City, Florida, stood on their feet and cheered as Milton (11-1, 7 KOs) landed a clean right hand to start things off. Once he connected, it felt as though he couldn't miss. In the first few seconds, he landed another right hand before going to the bread basket.

Wright (14-0, 11 KOs) is a big man and had no interest in being bullied. He tucked his chin down and began swinging for the fences. Milton though, simply smiled as he stepped out of range. A few seconds later, nevertheless, that smile was wiped off his face.

Wright ducked low and fired, flooring Milton with just a few seconds remaining. Once he climbed to his feet, Wright rushed in but Milton boxed and moved until the round came to a close.

A more cautious Milton came out in the second, pawing with his lead hand and playing it safe from the outside. For the next few rounds, it was wash, rinse, and repeat for Milton but he failed to bank rounds.

For most of the fight, Milton's corner instructed him to fight with more urgency. The heavyweight prospect though, fought listlessly. It was much of the same as both men wrestled for the remaining few rounds as the crowd booed mercilessly.

Once the final bell rang, Milton remained stone-faced as the three judges sitting ringside gave a close but clear decision to Wright.

Also in action, Darrelle Valsaint had little to no issues keeping his record perfect.

Following a disappointing no-contest in his last appearance, Valsaint (12-0, 10 KOs) made an example out of Stephen Danyo.

To kick things off, Valsaint walked to the center of the ring and pumped out a strong jab. Danyo (23-7-3, 8 KOs) was never quite able to offset his rhythm as his head continued to snap back. Before he knew it, Danyo found himself looking up at the ceiling lights, thanks to several well-placed shots to the body before finishing his man off with a final shot upstairs.
