Jeamie TKV Weighs In At Career-Heaviest Before Frazer Clarke Title Clash

Jeamie TKV came in at a career-high weight of 264.9 pounds for his British title showdown with Frazer Clarke on Saturday night.

The pair meet for the vacant belt in the main event at Derby’s Vaillant Live Arena in Boxxer’s first show on the BBC.

Tempers flared between the pair at Friday’s weigh-in and security was needed to separate them once they had both hit the scales.

And they were surprisingly close in weight with TKV, full name Jeamie Tshikeva, packing on size for his second successive crack at the British title.

He was 254.5 pounds for his last outing, when he was controversially stopped by David Adeleye in Manchester but came in nearly 10 pounds heavier for this one.

Clarke, meanwhile, was his heaviest ever last time out, when he weighed 276 pounds even for his one-round blowout against Ebenezer Tetteh. But he was closer to his normal fighting weight here, tipping the scales at 270.2 pounds.

The Burton man, ahead of his third attempt at the British title, said: "Obviously emotions are high, we are in fight mode now. I say what I say but more importantly I do what I do.

"There's no respect for now, he's nothing to me, just an opponent. Fans can expect a clinic, I'll take this boy to school and beat him up.

"This is very important, it's a very prestigious title. This is competition and this is what I'm here for, what I live for. Let’s fight."

TKV could not help but smile as security came between the heavyweights. Of Clarke, he said: "He's just a funny character, I walked past him in the corridor and he didn't do anything but now the security are here he wants to talk funny. He's rattled. Expect fireworks, I'm going to knock him out."
