Jarrell Miller On Oleksandr Usyk: 'I Would Run Him Over'
Oleksandr Usyk looks just about unbeatable at this point. Well, to everyone but Jarrell Miller.

“I know for a fact I can beat Usyk,” Miller told The Ring recently. “With me training and me having a proper training camp, I know I can beat Usyk.”

Miller (26-1-2, 22 KOs) is confident, but he has some work to do before a matchup with Usyk is realistic. For starters, the New Yorker needs more activity. He also needs to grab a few wins.

In his last two fights, Miller took on two of the heavyweight division's best in Daniel Dubois and Andy Ruiz. On both occasions, he came up short, losing via stoppage to Dubois two days before Christmas in 2023 and settling for a majority draw against Ruiz in 2024.

Since then, he’s been on the shelf, waiting and hoping he’ll get a call. But while he continues to stay by the phone, Usyk is busy putting in work.

Ironically, Dubois made some of the same comments. He poked Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) and berated him until they met up July 19 in Wembley Stadium. After five painful rounds, Dubois found himself practically unconscious. When he came to his senses, the IBF title he walked into the ring with was now Usyk's.

Retirement isn’t exactly on the undisputed champ’s mind, but the light at the end of his tunnel is clear as day.

For Miller, he’s waiting to get word on whether or not a matchup between himself and Jared Anderson will become official for the Sept. 13 card headlined by Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford in Las Vegas. If it does, he knows he’ll need to put on a show.

Would the slick-talking, hard-hitting Miller call Usyk an unworthy champion? Not a chance. Miller knows the Ukrainian is at the top of the food chain.

“I would run him over,” Miller said. “Usyk has a problem with guys who put their chin down and want to bang out."
