Jaron Ennis Salutes Terence Crawford For Accomplishments
Canelo Alvarez desperately wanted to win, but unfortunately for him Terence Crawford didn't cooperate.

More than 70,000 went to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, and more than 41 million tuned in on Netflix as Crawford took home a fairly close but clear win over Alvarez.

Amongst the countless viewers was Jaron Ennis. The 28-year-old from Philly has called out Crawford (42-0, 31 KOs) out on countless occasions. He’s also been compared to the future Hall of Famer.

A few weeks prior to Alvarez (63-3-2, 39 KOs) finishing camp, he brought in the switch-hitting Ennis. Even with the added help, Alvarez had little to no answers as Crawford fought the entire 12 rounds as a southpaw. While fighting Crawford is still his top goal, Ennis had no choice but to salute him for his performance.

“It was a great win for Crawford and a great fight for boxing,” Ennis told YSM Sports Media. “It was a good win. He accomplished a historic goal. Good win for him.”

Although it was fun being a fan for a moment, Ennis (34-0, 30 KOs 1 NC) is focusing on his own career. The former unified welterweight titlist recently dropped his Ring, WBA, and WBC straps and has committed to regaining his championship status at 154 pounds.

His first fight in his new weight class will come when he takes on Uisma Lima at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on October 11.

With a chance to make a statement, and also grab a secondary belt in the process, Ennis is foaming at the mouth, waiting for fight night to arrive.

“I’m feeling great,” he said. “It’s almost time. I’m ready to put on a show. Expect a dominant performance and a beautiful knockout.”
