Jake Paul has summoned world-class sparring partners in preparation for his fight against
Anthony Joshua on
December 19 in Miami.
On Friday, Paul posted a photo on social media showing that Jared Anderson, Lawrence Okolie, and Frank Sanchez are helping him get in shape for his meeting with the two-time former unified heavyweight champion of the world.
“Good rounds today,” Paul wrote.
The novice Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) is describing himself as a delusional optimist and is promising to accomplish the unthinkable in stopping Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) inside five rounds.
“I want the best version of Anthony Joshua on December 19. It's going to be the best version of Jake Paul you've ever seen. We'll see who's better,” Paul said during a recent kickoff press conference.
“I have the power and the timing. It's the shots that you don't see that knock people out. I am a tricky knockout artist that people don't give enough credit to. He has to be careful. I have the tricks up my sleeve to hit this guy with a shot he doesn't see coming that can put him to sleep – a thousand percent.
“I like to challenge myself. I like to take on the biggest and the best. I said anyone, anytime, anyplace, and I truly mean that.”
Paul-Joshua is a professional fight set for eight rounds and will stream globally on Netflix from the Kaseya Center.
