'Invincible' Keyshawn Davis Predicts 'Massacre' of Denys Berinchyk
“The Businessman” Keyshawn Davis is ready to cash in on all of the checks he’s been writing in recent years on Friday when he gets his first world title shot against WBO lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk.

Davis says the pivotal difference maker will be his power in the main event matchup at the Madison Square Garden Theater in New York on ESPN.

“I feel like it's about to happen. It's going to be my time – 2025 is going to be the breakout year,” Davis said on the “Blood Sweat and Tears” series. “The only thing Berinchyk can do to surprise me is to take some of my punches. I don’t think he can take my punches, period. Once I sit down and start punching him, he’s going to have happy feet and back up.”

Davis (12-0, 8 KOs) had an outstanding 2024 capped by a dominant second-round knockout of Gustavo Lemos in a sold-out homecoming fight in Norfolk, Virginia. Davis also showcased his power by knocking out former two-division champion Jose Pedraza and earning a unanimous decision victory over the tough Miguel Madueno.

Berinchyk (19-0, 9 KOs) pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the year in May, edging out Emanuel Navarrete via split decision to claim the vacant WBO 135-pound title. The Ukrainian was making both his United States debut and his first world title fight, entering as a heavy underdog. Following his victory, the 36-year-old immediately called out Davis, setting the stage for the bout between Olympics silver medalists.

Davis is ranked No. 5 by The Ring at 135 pounds, Berinchyk is No. 6. Draftkings lists Davis as a -600 betting favorite, Berinchyk is a +425 underdog.

“In this sport, you’ve got to have that confidence in you. You’ve got to know that you can’t be beat,” said Davis. “I don’t want to sound too cocky like I’m invincible, but come February 14, I’m going to be invincible that day … I had a vivid dream about this, that I had knocked out Berinchyk in a way that was better than Lemos. You can expect a massacre.”
