Brandon Adams and Caoimhin Agyarko will have to go through each other to get what they want.

The IBF has informed The Ring that purse bids between the two will officially take place on Tuesday, December 30. The winner of their contest will be made the mandatory contender for the IBF 154-pound title.

Bakhram Murtazaliev, the current champion, will attempt to defend his crown on January 31 against Josh Kelly.

Adams, the IBF’s No. 5-ranked contender, is fresh off a lopsided win over former WBC interim champion, Serhii Bohachuk. Since beating him for a second time, Adams (26-4, 16 KOs) has called out several of the division's champions, to no avail.

Irishman Agyarko has had a solid 2025. The IBF’s No. 7-ranked contender picked up wins over Harley Collison, Ryan Kelly, and Ishmael Davis.
