Earlier today, promoter Kalle Sauerland announced that
Harlem Eubank will return against Josh Wagner in a 10-round welterweight contest on November 21.
The Wasserman event, dubbed "A Point to Prove", will take place at Brighton Centre, Brighton, England and will be broadcast in the UK on Channel 5.
It marks the first time Eubank has fought since losing his unbeaten record in a rather
tame affair against Jack Catterall on July 5.Also tabbed to appear is Niall Brown (16-0, 6 KOs) who will take on Darren Johnstone (11-1, 3 KOs) at super middleweight over 10 rounds.
While at heavyweight Matty Harris (9-1, 6 KOs) will meet Franklin Ignatius (9-1-1, 1 KO) over 8 rounds.
Eubank (21-1, 9 KOs) made his professional debut back in May 2017. His early progress as a junior welterweight was slow, but he began to live up to the family name when he beat faded but still serviceable Viorel Simon (RTD 5) and Sean Dod (KO 2) in 2022 performances.
He beat Timo Schwarzkopf (TKO 11) in November 2023, but he'd outgrown 140 and moved up to welterweight. After a getting to know you fight, at the new weight, he
impressed against Tyrone McKenna (TKO 10) but lost to Catterall (TD 7).
Meanwhile, Wagner (19-1, 10 KOs) has been professional for 12 years.
He fought at home in Canada where the Orangeville, Ontario native worked his way up, beating seasoned Williams Herrera (UD 10) in July 2023, before returning three months later to stop Abraham Ramirez (TKO 8).
However, he was beaten when he travelled to France by David Papot (KO 7) last November. The 32-year-old got back to winning ways in Colombia in May.
