Garcia-Romero, Haney-Ramirez, Lopez-Barboza: 'Fatal Fury: City of The Wolves' Tripleheader Official For Times Square
History will be made in New York City this spring as Ring Magazine brings a groundbreaking boxing event titled 'Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves' to Times Square!

For the first time ever, Times Square will be turned into a world-class boxing venue which will play host to a star-studded three-fight card on Friday, May 2.

The spectacle marks another unique collaboration with SNK, creators of the Fatal Fury gaming series. City of the Wolves is set to launch on April 24 for PS5, PS4, Xbox and PC.

The first Ring Magazine event, in association with SNK, will take place a week earlier on April 26 when Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England.

The May 2 event in New York, will also feature some of the most exciting talent in boxing today.

In the first fight of the night, WBO/The Ring junior-welterweight titleholder Teofimo Lopez (21-1, 13 KOs) will defend his titles against Arnold Barboza Jr (32-0, 11 KOs), who recently beat Chorley's Jack Catterall via split decision in Manchester.

The second bout will feature an intriguing welterweight bout between former undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney (31-0-1 NC 15 KOs) and Jose Ramirez (29-2, 18 KOs).

In the main event, Ryan Garcia (24-1-1 NC, 20 KOs) makes his return a year on from his fight with Haney last April 20 in New York City, facing Rolando Romero (16-2, 13 KOs) in a contest that both men have promised to finish inside the distance.

Boxing fans will have the opportunity to witness the monumental event on pay-per-view, ensuring those who aren't able to be at Times Square for the card can catch all the action from the comfort of their own homes.

Should they win their bouts, Garcia and Haney are expected to rematch later this year on a Riyadh Season card. Their first fight in April 2024 saw Garcia drop Haney three times en route to a unanimous decision victory in Brooklyn, New York.

The result has since been overturned, however, after Garcia failed a VADA test for the banned substance Ostarine. Back in the mix after a year-long suspension, and with his Haney rivalry fiercer than ever, the pair will be desperate to win on May 2.

Lopez, on the other hand, could move on to a unification clash with 140-pound IBF champion Richardson Hitchins (19-0, 7 KOs), having recently signed a Riyadh Season deal himself, if he is successful against WBO interim champion Barboza.
