Gabriel Flores Jr. Set For Next Step In Career Resurgence
Gabriel Flores Jr. is set for the latest step in the second act of his career.

The lightweight hopeful will headline another show in his home region, this one marking a first for a platform willing to take a chance on him. Flores is set to face Jose Arellano atop a ProBox TV show this Wednesday from Chicken Ranch Casino Resort in Jamestown, California.

Both fighters made weight for their scheduled ten-round lightweight contest. Flores (25-2, 8 KOs)—who was born and raised in Stockton, roughly an hour away—was 134.8 pounds. Mexico’ s Arellano (11-2, 6 KOs) weighed 133.4 pounds.

Flores’ placement atop the show paved the way for ProBox TV—a primarily East Coast-based series prior to this year—to head west for the first time. It is also the fifth straight fight for Flores in his region, with the previous four assignments held in Stockton where he remains a huge draw.

The quartet of fights all produced winning performances for Flores, whose career hit a wall after a July 2022 lopsided defeat to Giovanni Cabrera. It marked his final fight with Top Rank, with whom he was affiliated since his May 2017 pro debut.

Below are the weights for the rest of the undercard.

Emiliano Moreno (11-0, 6 KOs), Long Beach, California, 149.6 pounds vs. Cesar Francis (13-2, West New York, New York), 146.6 pounds
DeMichael Harris (12-0-1, 11 KOs), Smyrna, Georgia, 134.2 pounds vs. Anthony Cuba (8-1-2, 4 KOs), Fontana, California, 137.4 pounds—8 rounds, lightweight
Antonio Mireles (8-0-1, 7 KOs), Des Moines, Iowa, 274 pounds vs. Josue Vargas (5-9-2, 2 KOs), Panorama City, California, 244.2 pounds—8 rounds, heavyweight
Andrew Rodriguez (5-0, 1 KO), Salinas, California, 116.4 pounds vs. Kevin Soltero (3-0, 2 KOs), Kansas City, Missouri, 116.6 pounds—6 rounds, junior bantamweight
Jennah Creason (2-0, 0 KOs), Visalia, California, 139 pounds vs. Samantha Ginithan (1-0, 1 KO), Las Cruces, New Mexico, 140.2 pounds—4 round, junior welterweight
