Set to provide chief support on Nov. 8 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, on
DAZN is Floyd “Kid Austin” Schofield when he takes on Joseph Diaz in a 10-round lightweight bout, Golden Boy Promotions announced Friday.
The card will also feature
Darius Fulghum taking on David Stevens in a 10-round super middleweight fight, while heavyweight prospect and 2024 U.S. Olympian Joshua Edwards opens the broadcast against Zeno Vooris in a six-round heavyweight fight.
Schofield (19-0, 13 KOs), ranked No. 6 by The Ring at 135 pounds, was looking to leverage his
sensational first-round knockout against Tevin Farmer in June to a title shot against IBF champion Raymond Muratalla, but
that fight fell through the cracks after negotiations kicked off. Instead, Schofield will face the durable Diaz (34-8-1, 15 KOs), who is
coming off a unanimous decision defeat in an August barnburner against Regis Prograis. Diaz is 3-7-1 since beating Farmer for a 130-pound title over five years ago.
Fulghum (14-1, 12 KOs) is looking to get back in the win column
following a firefight and razor-thin unanimous decision loss against Bektemir Melikuziev in May. Stevens (15-2, 10 KOs) has alternated wins and losses over his last four fights, but is coming off a career-best win in June against the previously unbeaten Petr Khamukov. Stevens also suffered a split-decision defeat against Melikuziev in 2024 and a first-round knockout to Joeshon James in 2023.
Edwards (4-0, 4 KOs), trained by Ronnie Shields, will be fighting for the fifth time since making his pro debut in April.
“Golden Boy has mastered the art of building fight cards that keep fans on their feet from the opening bell to the final round,” promoter Oscar De La Hoya said in a prepared statement. “This will be an all-out Texas showdown featuring some of the sport’s top fighters.”
