Conor Benn's promoter Eddie Hearn insists that 'anything goes' from now on after Chris Eubank Jr slapped an egg in his fighter's face at Tuesday's press conference in Manchester.

Eubank Jr (34-3, 25 KOs) and Benn (23-0, 14 KOs) exchanged verbal jabs for over 20 minutes before coming together for a face-to-face at Manchester Central earlier this evening.

Both men traded more words before Eubank Jr pulled an egg out of his pocket and slapped it into the side of Benn's face, causing a melee in which both fighters had to be separated by security.

The pair are due to throw down on April 26 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, which will be Ring Magazine's first card as part of a unique collaboration with SNK Games, creators of the FATAL FURY gaming series.

Hearn also got into his fair share of trash talk with Eubank Jr during the presser, and he went on his own tirade after the slap on Matchroom's live broadcast.

He said: "The presser, quite amusing. At the end, b---h move, you've come on the stage with an egg, I thought it was a glass. The way it shattered was like a glass.

"I'm not being funny, but all bets are off. If you bump into Nigel Benn in the next 10 minutes, watch yourself. With Eubank Jr, everything is pre-meditated, so what they've done is sat there at night and thought 'I'm gonna hit him around the face with an egg'.

"The game's the game, the fight's the fight, it's done. All bets are off, anything goes, you've gone to that level. Thursday at Spurs, it's on site.

"The world we live in today, it's going to go viral, people will find it hilarious, but everything has changed now.

"This fight was massive. But it's gone to another level.

"I don't know if we can even do the presser on Thursday. When Conor and Nigel see him...this isn't going to calm down in 48 hours."
