Eye of The Tiger has laid out its undercard plans for the Osleys Iglesias-Vladimir Shishkin show September 5 at Montreal Casino in Montreal.
Dzmitry Asanau (10-0, 4 KOs), a lightweight contender from Belarus, will defend his WBC regional title against France's
Laid Douadi (27-0-1, 3 KOs) in the co-feature. Earlier on the undercard, fast-rising super middleweight
Moreno Fendero (11-0, 9 KOs) will take on Boris Crighton (13-5, 7 KOs).
Quebec middleweight
Alexandre Gaumont (13-0, 9 KOs) will face France’s Sofia Khati (18-5, 7 KOs) on the card as well.
Meanwhile, hot junior welterweight
Jhon Orobio (14-0, 12 KOs) will defend his WBC regional title against an undetermined opponent. Avery Duval Martin (13-0-1, 7 KOs) will meet Luis Campos (11-1, 7 KOs) at junior lightweight.
Canada's 2024 Olympic bronze medalist
Wyatt Sanford (3-0, 2 KOs) will look to continue his early progress when he fights another opponent to be determined.
Asanau was a standout amateur, who represented his homeland of Belarus at the 2016 and 2020 Olympics. He made his debut in Germany in 2022, where his first seven fights took place.
After moving his home base to Canada, the 29-year-old Asanau has stepped up his game and is coming off wins over former world title challenger Matias Rueda (TKO 5) and experienced former European titleholder Francesco Patera (UD 10).
Douadi has been a professional since 2014. He has twice won the French title, once in 2019 and again in 2022. He has since won an IBF regional title.
The 32-year-old Frenchman doesn't have a signature win, but he holds win over Hedi Slimani (SD 8) and is coming off a rare stoppage over Otto Gamez (KO 3) in April.
