Derek Chisora Issues Stark Warning To Moses Itauma Over Fighting Oleksandr Usyk Next
Moses Itauma isn't interested in taking the slow, mundane route of a normal prospect. No, if it were up to him, he’d jump on the fast track.

So far, Itauma (13-0, 11 KOs) has ripped through all of the competition placed in front of him. Dillian Whyte, however, was supposed to make him work for his victory.

All week long, Whyte (31-4, 21 KOs) said all the right things. He also appeared to be in the best physical shape of his life. But once the bell rang, he suffered the same fate other Itauma opponents had. It took the 20-year-old just under two minutes to get rid of his man at ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this past weekend.

Afterwards, Itauma stepped up to the post-fight podium and revealed that he would love nothing more than to match up with Oleksandr Usyk next. His Excellency Turki Alalshikh also likes the thought of throwing Itauma in the deep end with the current undisputed heavyweight champion.

Derek Chisora, however, hates it.

“Usyk would blow the smoke out of him,” Chisora told The Ring. “Usyk would kill him.”

By and large, Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) has smoked most who have stood before him. And recently, he did it again.

Usyk made it 2-0 against Daniel Dubois earlier this summer, brutally stopping him in the fifth round at Wembley Stadium on July 19.

In all likelihood, Usyk and Itauma won't cross paths next. Chisora would rather see the 20-year-old in there with fighters who can give him the experience he desperately needs.

To a great extent, Chisora was under the impression that Whyte was more than capable of doing that. But since he wasn’t, there was only one way he could describe his former rival's performance.

“I’m disappointed.”
