David Adeleye and Jeamie TKV will be fighting for more than just personal pride when they clash on April 5 in Manchester.
Their bout, which takes place on a card headlined by Joe Joyce and Filip Hrgovic at the Co-Op Live Arena, will now be for the British heavyweight title.
The Lonsdale belt was previously owned by Fabio Wardley, who has since vacated it in order to enter negotiations with Kubrat Pulev for the WBA 'Regular' title, with the pair likely to clash in the summer.
Adeleye (13-1, 12 KOs) and TKV (8-1, 5 KOs) have sparred each other numerous times before and are both coming off big wins coming into their bout.
Under the tutelage of new trainer Adam Booth, Dale Youth's Adeleye knocked out Solomon Dacres in a round to win the English title in his last contest.
TKV, trained by Barry Smith, stopped Michael Webster in the ninth round on the undercard of Adam Azim-Sergey Lipinets at the beginning of February.
Adeleye and TKV's clash will be promoted by Queensberry Promotions and will be the first Frank Warren card to stream live on DAZN in the UK since the announcement of their new broadcast deal together.
Elsewhere on the card, it's understood that Moses Itauma will be in action against an opponent yet to be determined.
But Lawrence Okolie's grudge-match with Richard Riakporhe will no longer take place after the former suffered an injury in training camp.
