Crawford's Coach Praises Jaron Ennis' Win: “The Kid Looked So Good, Phenomenal”
If Jaron Ennis has a fight lined up, chances are, Brian “Bomac” McIntyre will be watching. That was the case on April 12th, in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

McIntyre didn’t expect Eimantas Stanionis to win, but he was confident that the Lithuanian would be a handful to deal with. Yet, at no point did he make it even remotely competitive.

At the end of the sixth, Stanionis was bloodied, bemused, and lacked any answers. So, with little fight left in him, his corner mercifully stopped things from going any further.

McIntyre knows a thing or two about great fighters. Having trained Terence Crawford for years, he isn’t easily impressed. However, the beating Ennis dished out was breathtaking. So much so that McIntyre had no choice but to climb to the highest mountain he could find and sing his praises.

“Phenomenal, the kid looked phenomenal,” said McIntyre on MillCity Boxing. “Oh my God, the kid looked phenomenal. That kid looked so f------ good. That boy didn’t have a chance.”

Ennis, 27, has wanted to get his hands on Crawford for years now. But, that ship appears to be long gone as the 37-year-old is on a collision course with Canelo Alvarez. Still, even with his man focusing on other paths, McIntyre is keeping tabs on an old division they once ruled over.

Ennis, who now holds The Ring, IBF, and WBA welterweight straps, deserves a ton of the credit but not all of it. McIntyre knows what it’s like putting together a well-crafted game plan. And while he doesn’t often get a bunch of praise for the part he plays in Crawford’s victories, he made sure to shine a light on the other members on Team Ennis.

“I want to tip my hat to Boots, I want to tip my hat to Bozy (his father). Phenomenal job."
