Conor Benn Arrives Back In UK Ahead Of Chris Eubank Jr Fight Week, Promises To 'Handle Business'
Conor Benn arrived back in the UK on Saturday evening, just days before he faces the fight of his life against Chris Eubank Jr at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the main event of Ring Magazine's first ever boxing event.

Benn (23-0, 14 KOs) and Eubank Jr (34-3, 25 KOs) will do battle in a 12-round middleweight contest at Spurs on April 26. The Ring will promote the event in association with SNK Games, creators of FATAL Fury: City of the Wolves, Matchroom and Boxxer.

The pair will throw down three decades on from their famous fathers Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn's middleweight and super-middleweight title fights, the first of which ended in a win for the former, with the second ending all square, a draw.

The build-up to the sons' fight has been fractious to say the least, having come to blows at their first press conference in February after Eubank Jr slapped an egg in Benn's face.

Benn has spent much of the last 12 weeks in Majorca, Spain for his training camp, while Eubank Jr has based his own camp in South London's Churchill's Boxing Gym.

While out on the Balearic Island with his trainer Tony Sims, Benn has sparred with WBO No. 1 middleweight contender Denzel Bentley, as well as IBF super-middleweight champion William Scull and France's Bruno Surace, who knocked out Jaime Munguia in his last fight.

But now Benn is back in the UK after touching down at London Luton Airport earlier today, and The Ring's Louis Hart was on hand to speak to 'The Destroyer' the moment he landed.

"I've had a tremendous camp, worked extremely hard, dedicated myself, applied myself," he said. "I'm excited to get this week out of the way, I just wish it was fight night. I wish I was fighting tonight.

"There seemed to be so many hurdles getting in the way, but you know, we're here now and the stars have aligned for now. For the fight to be ten times the magnitude, I'm excited."

On his sparring, Benn revealed he's been pushed to his absolute limit, having left all home comforts and his family back in Essex for two months ahead of his fight with Eubank Jr.

"It's been phenomenal," he added.

"I've removed myself from all comforts and, you know, I've made sacrifices this camp, leaving my son, for 12 weeks, my daughter, my missus, so it's been challenging to say. But we're all set up and all ready to just take care of one thing, one job and that's getting the victory April 26th.

"No stone has been left unturned, sparring Scull, Bruno, Denzel Bentley and moving and pushing my body to the limit as much as I physically can."

As far as a message for Eubank Jr, Benn called the bout personal and promised to handle business next week in front of 60,000 fans in London.

"I'm coming to a fight, it's always personal, it's not just Chris," the 29-year-old said. "Every single one of my fights has been personal. If you're trying to take food off my table and out of my kid's mouth, it's personal.

"It's never just business with me, it's always personal, I've always got a chip on my shoulder about it, so come Saturday night, forget the egg slap, forget the names, forget the calling me this, it makes no difference, there ain't no aggression, I'm coming in there to do a job and I'm coming in there to wipe him out.

"I ain't got no message, I ain't playing them games. I'm just going to get there on Saturday and handle business."
