Cindy Ngamba: I Want To Push Myself as Far as I Can Go
As previously reported by The Ring, history-marker Cindy Ngamba has signed professional terms with Boxxer and will kick off her career at the Royal Albert Hall on March 7.

Ngamba became the first ever Olympic medalist for the Refugee Team when she claimed gold at the Paris Games, beating 2022 world champion Tammara Thibeault along the way.

And now Ngamba, who was born in Cameroon but moved to the UK when she was 10 years old, has decided to draw a line under her time as an amateur and punch for pay.

It was announced Tuesday by Boxxer that Ngamba has penned a ‘multi-fight promotional deal’ with them which starts on the undercard of the all-women show headlined by the welterweight unification clash between Lauren Price and Tasha Jonas.

Ngamba said: “My main goal before the Olympics was to challenge myself. I feel like on this pathway I will be able to continue to challenge myself and grow as a fighter.

“I have shared the ring with the best of the best in the Olympics and as an amateur. I want to share the ring with the best as a professional and push myself as far as I can go.

“It will be an amazing night on March 7th at the Royal Albert Hall. To share the ring with legends like Natasha Jonas and Lauren Price will be a special feeling.

“I’m looking forward to showcasing my skills as a professional for the first time. It is time for me to show what I am capable of and to continue to represent myself, Great Britain and all the refugees around the world.”

It was also confirmed that WBC lightweight champion Caroline Dubois will return to the ring on the night after her last outing was cut short by a clash of heads.

The 24-year-old had already dropped Jessica Camara in the first round of their fight on January 11 but the cut to the Canadian’s eye in the second round meant it finished in a technical draw.

At featherweight, the undefeated Kariss Artingstall will step up to the 10-round limit for the first time in an intriguing fight with the once-beaten former world title challenger Raven Chapman.
