Eubank Jr. Warns Benn: I Pity The Beating He's Going To Have To Endure on April 26!
He might've come across as the calmest man in the room this week but make no mistake about it - Chris Eubank Jr is angry, and he's hellbent on taking it all out on his forever rival Conor Benn.

Tensions boiled over at Tuesday's press conference in Manchester after Eubank Jr (34-3, 25 KOs) slapped an egg in Benn's face. It was a scene that will become one of the signature face-off moments in British boxing history.

Benn (23-0, 14 KOs) fumed through gritted teeth as he tried to escape the clutches of security following Eubank Jr's crafty stunt.

And at today's presser at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the scene of their April 26 showdown, Benn again snapped during their exchange after Eubank Jr threatened to put his hands on the 28-year-old's father Nigel Benn.

Eubank Jr, like he always does, soaked up all the smirking and sniggering from those in attendance. For the second time in a week he'd, with calculation, won the mental battle against his opponent.

In an interview with The Ring's Louis Hart after the press conference concluded, however, Eubank Jr made it clear that he still feels real emotions of anger.

Eubank Jr said: "I pity him, what he stands for, what he is, what he's done, and I pity the beating he's going to have to endure on April 26.

"It's been a build-up of animosity, of anger, of dislike, or rivalry. It's been years and years, and now we finally get to get in that ring and settle the score, put it to bed."

Before the fight that was originally scheduled for October 2022, public opinion was that their clash was simply about their fathers' rivalry.

Chris Sr and Nigel fought twice in the 1990s for middleweight and super-middleweight world titles. The former won their first bout in 1990 by ninth-round stoppage. Their second duel in 1993 in front of over 40,000 fans at Old Trafford ended in a draw.

Eubank Jr vs Benn was supposed to be a bit of fun, with extra spice added in. But Benn failed two failed VADA drug tests for the banned substance Clomifene in the lead up to their first bout and things became very sour. Respect is now completely gone, according to Eubank Jr.

He added: "It's a different fight, it's dark, nasty and personal. Before it was about doing our fathers proud, doing it for the family name. Now we're fighting because we can't stand each other.

"But for me, keeping emotions out of boxing is always the way I've been able to do what I can do. I'm not going to say I hate him because that's too powerful a word, but there's extreme dislike. I don't know how that's going to affect my performance or training. Maybe it'll be better, maybe it'll be worse."

Egg-gate was the big talking point coming out of Tuesday's presser event. Benn argued that the reason for his two failed tests was because of the over-consumption of eggs in training camp.

So up strolled Eubank Jr to the top table, with what looked like half a dozen eggs in the pocket of his leather Louis Vuitton jacket, and into Benn's face went one of them.

"I did what I needed to do," Eubank Jr said. "I embarrassed a drug cheat, which is what is needed in this sport. I won't let these people not be accountable for their actions. We can't let them cheat, get caught cheating and then act like it's okay - 'I'm clear and I can't say why'.

"If you get caught with drugs in your system, especially against me, you're going to get an egg in your face."
