The Ring has learned that promising lightweight
Cameron Vuong has amicably parted ways with Jamie Moore and will now be trained by Ben Davison.
Vuong, (8-0, 4 KOs) had trained with Moore at his Manchester gym since turning professional in October 2023 and the former British and European junior middleweight champion has guided the talented 22-year-old from Northumberland through a tricky start to his professional career.
Vuong has been kept busy and matched ambitiously. In November, he eked out a tight unanimous decision victory over former British and European 135lb champion, Gavin Gwynne, and earlier this year he
brought an end to his long-running feud with Jordan Flynn, stopping his previously undefeated rival in seven rounds.
Still, Vuong has decided to seek out a different approach and will make the move to Essex to train under Davison, who has former WBA featherweight champion Leigh Wood in action against Anthony Cacace in Nottingham this weekend.
Davison has built a thriving stable at his Performance Centre and Vuong will join a group which includes two-time heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, super bantamweight contender, Shabaz Masoud, heavyweight prodigy Moses Itauma and a whole host of promising youngsters.
