Caleb Plant Still Unsatisfied, Aims To Add More World Titles And Accolades Before His Time Expires
Caleb Plant enjoys taking a stroll through his palatial estate every now and then. Although he has plenty of areas to head into, his favorite is the trophy room.

Currently, the IBF super middleweight world title he won back in 2019 is something he holds dear to his heart. But, he’s grown fond of the WBA interim crown he recently grabbed too.

For some, winning those titles is enough. Plant though, is a different sort of guy. Does he appreciate the things he’s accomplished thus far? Of course he does. But is he satisfied? Of course not.

"I'm a competitor and a winner," Plant told FightHub TV. "I'm just trying to see how many world titles and accolades I can rack up before my time expires."

At age 33, don't expect Plant (23-2, 14 KOs) to walk away from the game anytime soon. In fact, he's a few weeks away from marching into his first fight of the year when he takes on Jose Armando Resendiz at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 31.

There's a bit on the line come fight night. As long as Plant takes his man out, and Jermall Charlo (33-0, 22 KOs) takes care of business against Thomas LaManna in the co-main event, the two will meet up in the second half of the year.

Beating Charlo is salient for Plant. He desperately wants to continue building up his legacy in a positive direction. In order to do that, he’ll need to beat top-level opposition.

If you asked Plant where his motivation comes from, fights against Charlo as well as former foes Canelo Alvarez and David Benavidez would be something he points to. The money is nice without a doubt, but he's moreso addicted to the spotlight and glory.

"I'm really good at what I do, and I've dedicated my whole life to it so I deserve to get fairly compensated for that but money is not at the top of my why."
