Caleb Plant, Jermall Charlo Make Weight For Bouts With Armando Resendiz, Thomas LaManna In Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS – Caleb Plant and Jermall Charlo are one step closer to settling their score in the ring later this year.

After they each successfully made weight Friday, they’ll now need to handle their respective business in the ring Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay to set-up their grudge match.

Premier Boxing Champions’ four-fight card will stream on Prime Video beginning at 8 p.m. ET.

The WBA interim super middleweight champion Plant (23-2, 14 KOs) weighed 167.2 pounds while Armando Resendiz (15-2, 11 KOs) weighed in at 167 pounds.

The former 154 and 160 pound champion Charlo (33-0, 22 KOs), making his super middleweight debut, weighed in at a career high 167.4 pounds.

LaManna weighed in at 166.6 pounds.

Charlo was the last to weigh-in on Friday and event organizers feared he might be over the 168-pound limit with each passing minute, but the 35-year-old quelled any concerns by making the weight in his first attempt.

Charlo is fighting for just the second time in two years as he kicks off his comeback campaign at 35. When he last fought against Jose Benavidez Jr. in a November 2023 tune-up, Charlo was 3.4 pounds overweight for a 163-pound catchweight fight.

Also on the Prime Video card is a 10-round middleweight matchup between Cuba’s Yoenli Hernandez (7-0, 7 KOs) and the American Kyrone Davis (19-3-1, 6 KOs).

Hernandez weighed in at 159.6 pounds and Davis at 159 pounds.

Kicking off the stream on Amazon is an eight-round junior middleweight fight between Isaac Lucero (16-0, 12 KOs) and Luis Valenzuela (23-0, 20 KOs).

Lucero weighed in at 154.8 pounds and Valenzuela weighed in at 154.6 pounds.

Eighteen-year-old 'generational talent; and Floyd Mayweather Jr. protégé Curmel Moton (7-0, 6 KOs) had no issues making weight for a second fight in a row for his eight-round contest against Renny Viamonte (4-1-1, 2 KOs).

Moton weighed in at 138 pounds, right on the nose for the contracted weight limit, and Mastrapa was 137.4 pounds.

Moton notably missed weight in November when he tipped the scales at 148.7 pounds for a 133-pound catchweight clash. He’s coming off a third-round TKO win against Frank Zaldivar.

Below are the weights for the rest of the card:
