Bruce Carrington Continues To Call Out The Featherweight Champions: “Y’all Should Wanna Fight The Best, Let’s Go!”
Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington is ashamed of the so-called top dogs at 126 pounds.

For as much barking as they do behind the fence, when he gets up close and personal, he notices that they get quieter and quieter. Soon, however, he may have them all backed into a corner.

Thanks to the work he’s been putting in, the 27-year-old has grabbed a top-five ranking in all four sanctioning bodies. The IBF has him currently ranked number four, while the WBA has him slated in the number two spot in their rankings. Both are more than respectable but the WBC and WBO believe he deserves more, placing him as the division's number-one contender to their respective champions, Stephen Fulton and Nick Ball.

Last weekend, Carrington (15-0, 9 KOs) solidified those rankings with a third-round stoppage over Enrique Vivas. It was the type of explosive win that Carrington needed. But just because he took care of business impressively, doesn’t mean he’ll get what he’s looking for.

According to Carrington, neither Rafael Espinoza nor Angelo Leo are willing to put their titles on the line against him. Whether that’s true or not is another discussion but for now, Carrington believes it is. So, refusing to feel sorry for himself, he moved on to Ball and Fulton. Those two, however, may not be interested either. Fulton could be on the verge of moving up in weight, while Ball is manically focused on the eventual arrival of Naoya Inoue. Still, none of their future plans feel like valid reasons to Carrington.

The world titles that they possess are just for decorative purposes. The way Carrington sees it, they represent an obligation to take on any and all comers.

“Y’all should want to fight the best,” said Carrington to FightHype.com. “Let’s go.”
