Unbeaten 140-pound talent
Breyon Gorham faces a career-best challenge when contesting the IBF North American junior welterweight title against longtime contender
Yomar Alamo, headlining on what is his fifth consecutive appearance back home in Houston, Texas.
Their 10-round matchup, topping a eight-fight card streamed
worldwide on DAZN, was made official as both tipped the scales below championship limit on Friday.
Gorham (20-0, 16 KOs) turned pro and built up an impressive resume largely in Mexico before venturing back stateside, where he has made the Red Owl Boxing Arena almost a second home over the past year-and-a-half. This time around, he's headed 25 miles down south to Houston's Bayou Music Center, with the broadcast set to start at 8pm ET/5pm PST.
Elsewhere in the chief support,
Skye Nicolson's conqueror Tiara Brown (19-0, 11 KOs) makes her first world title defence against France's Emma Gongora (10-3-1, 1 KO).
Meanwhile six unbeaten prospects across three weight classes will appear on the undercard, including Gorham's divisional counterpart Giovanni Marquez (13-0, 6 KOs) and Texas talent Jahyden Britton, floating between super middleweight and light heavyweight.
