Light heavyweight contender Albert Ramirez will headline against Michael Alan Flannery on June 5 at the Montreal Casino in Montreal.
The Eye of The Tiger event had originally been due to be headlined by
Imam Khataev and Arthur Biyarslanov, but was beset by issues with changes to the card.
Alas, the show must go on.
In the 10-round co-feature, rising welterweight Christopher Guerrero (14-0, 8 KOs) will face Williams Andres Herrera (17-4, 7 KOs).
Heading up the undercard, Arthur Biyarslanov (18-0, 15 KOs) will meet Antonio Collado (19-1, 3 KOs) in a scheduled 10-round junior welterweight contest. Hard-charging light heavyweight Mehmet Unal (12-0, 10 KOs) is also tabbed to square off against Jan Czerklewicz (14-2, 3 KOs) in a 10-round bout.
Fast improving super middleweight Moreno Fendero (10-0, 8 KOs) will return to action against Kristaps Bulmeistars (13-3, 5 KOs) in an eight-round bout. While recent signee's Wyatt Sanford (1-0, 1 KO) will tackle Tomas Lastro (2-0, 1 KO) over 4-rounds and Erik Israyelyan (1-0, 1 KO) will look to continue his bright start when he faces Alex Gagnon (0-2-1) also over 4-rounds.
Ramirez (20-0, 17 KOs), rated at No. 6 by The Ring at light heavyweight, represented Venezuela at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. He lost in the Round of 16. His cousin, former IBF super middleweight titlist Jose Uzcategui, opened the doors to him turning professional in Mexico, where he won his first nine fights.
The 33-year-old southpaw later moved in a different direction and impressed during a training camp in Russia with Artur Beterbiev. He stunned then-unbeaten Braian Suarez by first-round knockout, bested Artur Ziyatdinov by unanimous decision in a 10-rounder and stopped former world title challenger Adam Deines in the seventh round of a homecoming fight and, most recently, beat Marko Calic by third-round technical knockout.
Flannery (13-0, 11 KOs) is British born, but made his debut out in Thailand in 2016. He resides there and has fought all but one of his fights there.
Only one of the 28-year-old Flannery’s opponents have gone past four rounds. Flannery is coming off a third-round technical knockout of Rattawut Thongaram.
