Abdullah Mason Gets The Approval Of Gervonta Davis: “He’s Good”
Gervonta Davis has two completely different personalities. His mood, by and large, depends on when and where you see him.

If you turned on your television screen and saw him on it, chances are, you’d see him dishing out a brutal beating before eventually stopping his opponent. Outside of it, however, he’s more laidback and easygoing.

Davis likes to keep to himself, he also isn’t the type to say too many superlatives about fighters who are in or around his weight class. But, Davis isn’t blind or oblivious to talent. He recognizes it, notices it, and certainly appreciates it. That was certainly the case when Abdullah Mason arbitrarily became the topic of conversation recently.

“Yeah, he’s good,” said Davis to FightHype.com when asked to give his thoughts on the 135-pound contender. “He’s good.”

In just a few short hours, Mason (17-0, 15 KOs) will line up against Carlos Ornelas. For the most part, Mason is expected to run through Ornelas and just about anyone else until he reaches the elite level.

Davis, while giving Mason his flowers, didn’t stop at just him. The 30-year-old WBA belt holder is impressed by Mason but he also notices the young guns as a whole.

Simply put, they can all fight. And, their futures are bright enough to compete with the sun. Nevertheless, some of those younger fighters piss Davis off to a certain degree.

When the Baltimore native takes his shirt off, you’ll see him covered in meaningful tattoos. But while it’s cool to some, others mistake his tattoos for a red target. There’s nothing wrong with making a name for yourself and making some noise. However, it’s getting tiresome to hear some of these young killers in the making consistently call his name.

“I think they good. These young fighters are definitely good but just don’t get hype behind your name feel like ‘Oh, I wanna call out Tank.’ Like come on bro, you just got on the scene. I’m not talking about him (Abdullah Mason) but for sure, this younger generation is definitely fire.”
